For the comfort and fairness of everyone participating at our showcase stand, the standard allocated space per company is as follows:

    - 1.25m x 1.25m screen space (this will hold 1 x 27” TV Monitor)
    - Storage space for 1 x desktop or laptop PC
    - 1 stool
    - This is intended for Single Player, Local Multiplayer, Mobile / Tablet, seated VR

Two players can fit side by side in a standard space - however these multiplayer games need to ensure that their game can function off 1 x 27” TV monitor (this can be split screen) and 1 x PC. There is no option for multiple TV monitors or PC’s on the standard allocated space.

An internet connection is not provided as standard.

We may also have a limited amount of showcase floor space available for Room Scale VR or AR games, although depending on the number of teams developing their game in Room Scale VR or AR they may need to share the space on a schedule.

Room Scale VR Standard Showcase Space:
    - 3m x 3m
    - Screen space for 1 x 27” TV Monitor
    - Storage space for 1 x PC
    - Sensors or lighthouses can be used
  • These are the only setups we can guarantee - if you would require more you may still be selected for funding but may not be able to take part in the showcase.
  • Depending on who is selected to showcase, we may be able to provide alternatives - but we cannot guarantee anything other than the standard space described above
  • If you selected "My game won't work with the standard setups" above then please tick any appropriate boxes - we cannot guarantee that any of these will actually be available.
  • Project Plans

The following should all be covered in your pitch video, but you can supplement that with additional written info in these sections.

  • This is supplemental information - this topic should also be covered in your video pitch. Briefly outline what you intend to develop further for the project before September 2020 to make it ready for the consumer trade show. (300 words)
  • This is supplemental information - this topic should also be covered in your video pitch. Briefly describe any future plans you may already have for securing funding beyond our own, and getting the project to market successfully. (300 words)
  • Business Sustainability and Growth Plan

Clearly explain the benefit that this programme will bring to your company.

This may differ depending on your circumstances:

    - Smaller companies and newly formed teams (committed to setting up a company) frequently have a need for early stage funding, support, and visibility – but beyond simple development goals you should have an eye on what the next step is in terms of the business, and how we can help get you there, or

    - More established companies and teams will need to show a direct benefit or opportunity they might not otherwise be able to pursue – perhaps our help would support growth of a new project team or work in a new area, or perhaps mitigate specific risks around a new project or IP.

Games that are already in full-scale development (or where the majority of funding is already secure) may not be appropriate for this programme – if in doubt then send us a short paragraph about the project and we will endeavour to help.
  • Min 50 words - think beyond the present project, be ambitious but temper that with reality
  • Min 50 words - again, focus on the company not just the project. Picking up on what you said above, tell us about the steps along the way.
  • Min 50 words - what is the Plan B? How will you sidestep any failures and bounce back? Min 50 words.
  • Min 50 words - tell us about things like specialist knowledge, proven talent, other experience, tools, innovations, business networks, contacts etc. Why and how is the company going to be special? Why will your peers respect what you do? Min 50 words.
