Application for Justice Center ID Badge

  • The Rowan County Sheriff's Department and the Rowan County Government have established a security plan to maintain a safe and contraband-free environment within the criminal and civil court, as well as other offices housed in the Rowan County Justice Center. Part of this plan includes the privilege of using the "Court Facility Identification Badge" or Court Facility Identification Access Badge to allow access through the employee's entrance, to avoid the screening process at the public entrance, or to have access to certain secure doors within the Justice Center. The rules for the use of this badge are as follows:
    -The badge holder must have the badge in their possession to access the Justice Center, and it must be displayed so that it can be seen by security staff.
    -In the event of loss or theft of the badge, immediate notification to the sheriff's department is mandatory.
    -Only the individual in whose name the badge was issued will use the badge.
    -The badge holder will not escort anyone into the Justice Center through the employee's entrance.
    -Access normal business hours are Monday-Friday 8 A.M- 5 P.M
    -Non-compliance with these regulations may result in the temporary or permanent revocation of privileges.
