By indicating "Yes" below, I affirm:
1. that I have read and complied with the Guidelines for entry, and that I understand that noncompliance will lead to disqualification,
2. Artworks must be a Fine Art in any medium,
3. All entries must be the artist's own work. If created as part of a workshop or art class, it is acceptable for this show,
4. All AGPI show guidelines apply, including no nudes, partisan political statements, or offensive subjects.
5. The Cultural Arts Coordinator must approve artwork over 50” in width or height prior to submission.
6. Untitled work or wet work will not be accepted.
7. Taught, pulled-tight, wired-back hangings for paintings are required. It is understood that any artwork submitted with Pivot Hook/Sawtooth/Keyhole hanging systems will be subject to individual evaluation by the Village installation manager for compatibility and not accepted if there are any public safety concerns. Hanging artwork must not weigh more than 10 lbs.
8. The Cultural Arts Coordinator reserves the right to remove or replace any artwork during the exhibit for any reason whatsoever.
9. The Artist will permit Islamorada, Village of Islands to release their contact information to prospective purchasers. The Artist will make all sales arrangements directly with the purchaser. The Artist must notify the Cultural Arts Coordinator if a sale has taken place, including the title and proposed replacement. Sold Artwork may be taken by the artist and delivered to the purchaser. If that is not possible, arrangements can be made through the Cultural Arts Coordinator, subject to pre-approval from the artist. If an artwork is sold, it may be replaced with a giclee reproduction or another work of art by the same artist of a similar size to the original, subject to the Village’s approval. Replacement of sold pieces will not require additional selection fees. Drop off time for the new artwork is to be scheduled with the Cultural Arts Coordinator.
10. By submitting art to the show, the artist acknowledges that they have read this agreement and agrees to release and hold harmless Islamorada, Village of Islands and the Art Guild of the Purple Isles and their employees and agents for any loss or damage, regardless of the cause, that may occur to any artwork displayed. The appropriate Village staff may move and relocate your artwork. The Artist freely and voluntarily waives the right or cause of action of any kind whatsoever arising in connection with the display of the artwork as an exhibit. If the Artwork is not picked up on the designated pickup date, after the greater of 3 contact attempts or two months, the Village reserves the right to sell the artwork with the proceeds to benefit the Village.
11. If selected, I will be invoiced $10 by the AGPI Treasurer. Your artwork will not be accepted until the entry fee is paid.
