Youth Audition Workshop w/ Script Analysis

Young actors participating in this six-week course will apply their understanding of monologue work to an existing text. Students will be given a play to read and de-construct in its entirety. From this play, they will learn how to analyze the script from the lens of the actor, using all discovered information to give a more nuanced portrayal of their characters. Students will also learn how to choose an audition worthy monologue from a scripted play. This course culminates in a final video audition, which will be viewed and assessed by other theatre professionals.

This course is open to students aged 10-13 yrs. Minimum of four students and maximum of six students per course.
