Regional Parks Field Trip Request 2025-26
Our parks are your classroom! Students spend the day outdoors to learn about their world with professional environmental educators. These hands-on, inquiry-based experiences cover a wide range of topics while reinforcing Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards. Each program highlights the natural and cultural resources unique to the park.
Complete this form in order to request a field trip. Before making your selection(s), please review the description, park location, grade levels, and week days offered. Collect available dates from your school calendar to streamline the registration process. To ensure the greatest number of students participate, each classroom is able to register for up to two programs per year.
Teachers may register a maximum of 65 students per date, except for Tidepools at 30 students per date. Larger groups will be registered over multiple dates as close to each other as possible. All programs begin at 9:30AM and conclude at 11:30AM for K in fall, 12:00PM for 1st-2nd and K in spring, and 12:30PM for 3rd and up. Afterwards, schools are invited to bring lunches to enjoy in the park.
Field trip fees are $7 per student in-county and $9 per student out-of-county. Schools reporting more than 50% of enrollment as socioeconomically disadvantaged may receive a grant-funded scholarship and pay only the $25 registration fee. Eligibility of your school can be found on www.caschooldashboard.org.
Regional Parks staff will review your request and follow up within ten days to schedule your program. Once confirmed, please reserve transportation! All field trips sell out quickly and back-up date(s) due to bussing is unlikely. You will also receive payment instructions and logistics to prepare students and chaperones for your visit.
