The Perfect Ballet for Children!

North Central Ballet, in cooperation with Grapevine Parks and Recreation, is excited to present another outdoor, covid-friendly, socially distanced production in Meadowmere Park at Grapevine Lake!

Children throughout the entire community, ages 5 and up, are welcome to audition for a part in this wonderful children's ballet!
Auditions will be held at the North Central Ballet Studios in Keller.

In North Central Ballet's upcoming production of Peter and the Wolf, each character in the story has a particular musical instrument and theme in Prokofiev's familiar musical score. In the ballet, the Bird is the flute, the Cat is the clarinet, the Duck is the oboe and the Grandfather is the bassoon. Other characters have multiple instruments, for example, Peter's theme is made up of string instruments including the violin, viola, cello and bass. The Wolf's theme is played by French horns and the Hunters are woodwind instruments, with a few percussion instruments including the timpani and bass drum.
