ALSC Nominee Suggestion Form for 2022 Ballot
The ALSC Nominating and Leadership Development Committee calls upon ALSC personal members to self-nominate or to recommend candidates for ALSC Vice-President/President-Elect, ALSC Board Member, and for membership on several prestigious ALSC media award committees. This ballot will be voted on in the spring of 2022.

ALSC needs your leadership, your time, your willingness to gain new skills and to share your expertise. ALSC is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in our organization and in our work as we move toward a division and a profession that is representative and supportive of the children we serve. ALSC needs well-organized and knowledgeable members who are unafraid to ask questions and are open to divergent opinions, who are skilled and articulate book evaluators and intelligent and creative leaders in the field of youth services. We are looking for ALSC members committed to our core values—Collaboration, Excellence, Inclusiveness, Innovation, Integrity and Respect, Leadership, and Responsiveness—to serve our association. Do you recognize one or more of these qualities in your colleagues or in yourself?

Self nominations are encouraged; if you are interested in one of these positions and possess these qualities, put your own name forward as a possible candidate for the 2022 slate. You might go on to select the most distinguished contribution to American children’s literature or be part of the outstanding team governing our association!

The members of the ALSC Nominating and Leadership Development Committee look forward to your suggestions.

Please be sure that your nominee's ALSC membership remains current. Nominees who have let their membership lapse are not eligible for consideration. If you identify as Black, Indigenous, or as a Person of Color and had an active ALSC membership in the year 2020 but are currently experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19 resulting in your membership lapsing, you may be eligible for the Relief Renewal Program.
