Support Groups
Connection Support Group Facilitator: must have at least 1 mental health condition and be 18 y/o or older.
Family Support Group Facilitator: must have a loved one who has at least 1 mental health condition and be 18 y/o or older.
LGBT+ Support Group Facilitator: must have at least 1 mental health condition, identify as part of the LGBT+ community, and be 18 y/o or older.
Young Adult Support Group Facilitator: must have at least 1 mental health condition and be between 18-30 y/o.
Education & Destigmatization
Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) for Law Enforcement Presentation: must have at least 1 mental health condition OR have a loved one who has at least 1 mental health condition. Must be 18 y/o or older. Experience with law enforcement preferred.
Ending the Silence Presentation- Young Adult Role: must have at least 1 mental health condition and be between 18-29 y/o. This is a presentation aiming to destigmatize mental health for students grades 6-12.
Ending the Silence Presentation: must have at least 1 mental health condition OR have a loved one who has at least 1 mental health condition. This is a presentation aiming to destigmatize mental health conditions for students grades 6-12.
Faithnet Member: a small advocacy-based group aiming to destigmatize mental health conditions in the church community.
Family-to-Family Class Leader: must have a loved one who has at least 1 mental health condition, have taken Family-to-Family as a participant, and be 18 y/o or older.
In Our Own Voice Presentation: must have a loved one who has at least 1 mental health condition OR have at least 1 mental health condition. Must be 18 y/o or older. This is a lived experience presentation aiming to destigmatize mental health.
Peer-to-Peer Class Leader: must have at least 1 mental health condition, have taken Peer-to-Peer as a participant, and be 18 y/o or older.
Sharing Hope Member: a small advocacy-based group aiming to destigmatize mental health conditions in the Black community.
Tabling and Health Fair Events: Volunteer to work at events hosted by NAMI Tallahassee or community partners.
Fundraising & Marketing
Business "share of profits": Local business partners to provide a share of funds raised through attendance, purchase or other participation.
Grant Aid: help our team find and prepare grant proposals.
Social Media: help run our social medias, including but not limited to Instagram and Facebook. Helpful if you are familiar with Canva.
The Bluebird Run/Walk Volunteer: no requirements to volunteer. This is our biggest fundraiser and is held each year on Labor Day in September.
Translating: must be fluent in a language other than English and American Sign Language (ASL). Help us translate our website for non-native speakers.
Video Creation: help us create mental health related videos for fundraising and awareness.
Operations
Blog Writer: must show writing samples to qualify. Help with writing our blog. You will be credited for your work.
Membership: keep membership lists current, coordinate renewals, and assist in electronic communication. Helpful if knowledgeable in Excel, Gmail, and Klaviyo.
