A Pre-Task Plan (PTP) identifies the steps or stages associated with the work task, and is used to ensure that equipment, tools and materials along with the appropriate skilled personnel are available to carry out the task in the required time period.
A Job Safety Assessment (JSA) also known as a Job Safety Hazard Assessment (JHA) identifies the steps or stages associated with the job and the associated hazards along with the measures that are necessary to mitigate (eliminate or reduce the risk) of the identified hazards.
