In response to COVID-19, the CVS Health Foundation has partnered with the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) to launch the Expanding Telehealth Grant for Free and Charitable Clinics and Pharmacies.
This $1M commitment to the NAFC will fund grants allowing NAFC member organizations in good standing to address the health care needs in the communities they serve and to provide expanded access to health care by implementing or expanding telehealth/telemedicine programs.
$25,000 grants will be awarded depending on the scope of the needs and related budget justification; partial grants may also be awarded. Grants will cover a period of 1 year.
Specific examples of funding under the Telehealth category are as follows:
Telehealth/Telemedicine
• Computers, tablets, laptops
• Telehealth/telemedicine System/Software
• EMR Implementation/Telehealth Integration
• Training
• Cloud back-ups
• Internet services (cable and satellite)
• Staffing needs
IMPORTANT NOTE: Up to 50% of the total grant request may be used for staffing and overhead.

Applications must be completed and submitted by
3:00pm Eastern Time on Friday, June 12, 2020.
Grants
cannot be used for the following:
• Debt retirement
• Costs already being reimbursed
• Lobbying and political activities
• Capital campaigns/improvements
• Evangelical work by religious organizations
• Individuals
• Fundraising drives/events
• Endowment funds
• Development/fundraising staff or programs
Reporting Requirements
All grantees will be asked to provide reporting on use of funds at the 6-month mark and at the 12-month mark of the grant period. Reporting will be submitted electronically using an online form provided directly to grantees by the NAFC.
