This application is to be used by student applicants only for the Don E. Ackerman Research Grant in Educational Leadership. Activities and/or costs that may be paid for with research grant funds:
- Funding for time/effort spent conducting the research (for example, data collection and analysis activities). To request this type of funding, you must include a cost estimate for the amount of time spent collecting data.
Example: 10 participants x 2 hour interviews x $12 per hour (10x2x12) = $240
-Supplies, software, travel, participant incentives, and rental fees needed for conducting the proposed dissertation/doctoral study research
- Participant Incentives: 10 participants x $10 amazon gift cards = $100.
-Travel: 10 trips to City X = 60 miles each trip Reimbursement rate = .58 per mile
10 x 60 x .58 = $348
- NVIVO Software Package = $114
Activities and/or costs that cannot be paid for with research grant funds:
-Dissertation/doctoral study editorial services
-Data analysis consulting services
-Walden tuition (or tuition at another institution)
