    The Symposium, including the Deakin Rural Health Mental Health, DELIVER and STaRR Showcases, will be held in Ballarat at The Goods Shed, 200 Lydiard St N, Soldiers Hill.

    Date: Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 November 2025 - schedule below (note, times may be subject to change).

    Monday 10 November
    9.30am - 12.30pm: Deakin Rural Health Mental Health Showcase
    12.30 - 1pm: Lunch
    1 - 4.15pm: DELIVER Showcase
    4.15 - 5.15pm: STaRR Emerging Researcher Showcase

    6pm - late: Networking function (including cocktail style dinner) - held at Itinerant Spirits Cocktail Bar & Distillery (next door to Symposium venue)

    Tuesday 11 November
    9.30am - 3pm: Symposium, including keynote speakers and presentations of local research projects

    The Symposium (not including any accommodation costs) and the networking cocktail function (not including alcohol costs) are free of charge, however a cancellation fee may apply for non-attendance (*refer to cancellation policy below).

    Places are limited and registrations for the Symposium and the networking cocktail function will close at 5pm on Friday 24 October 2025 (unless places fill up prior).
  • ACCOMMODATION

    Attendees will need to book and pay for their own accommodation (unless otherwise advised by Western Alliance).

    On-site accommodation is available at Quest, Ballarat Station, conference rates apply (subject to availability). Please note there are multiple options for breakfast within walking distance of Quest.

  • REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

    Registrations are now open and will close at 5:00pm on Friday 24 October 2025.

    • Each individual who wishes to attend must complete and submit the online registration form.

    • An email confirming registration will be sent to your email address.

    • Please be advised that submission of an abstract does not mean you are automatically registered as a delegate. You are still expected to complete the online registration form if you wish to attend.

    • These events are provided free of charge, courtesy of Western Alliance and their sponsors and collaborators. However, due to limitations of space at the venues and the associated costs, including catering, the number of registrations will be capped and the below cancellation policy will apply.

    * Note that registrations are not transferable – if you are unable to attend please advise the Symposium Administrator as soon as possible. If you have a colleague who would like to attend in your place, please ask them to contact the Symposium Administrator directly.

    CANCELLATION POLICY *
    We understand that sometimes life intervenes in the best-laid plans. If you need to cancel your attendance, please contact Cassandra Hamilton at your earliest convenience so that we can offer your place to someone else, and to avoid unnecessary wastage of resources and catering. We reserve the right to seek compensation (reimbursement to Western Alliance of $75 per person per day) for 'no-shows' and cancellations with less than 48 hours of the respective event.
