Welcome Artists! Your creativity and talent are the heart of this event. To encourage and foster creativity, we chose an open-ended art theme for this year’s Art Show.

Each art piece will be evaluated for awards in the following categories: First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and the winners will be announced between 11:00AM to 11:30AM. Best in Show winner will be announced between 12:30PM to 1:00PM. All winners shall receive their gift cards at the event. First place winners will have the opportunity to showcase their artwork in a public display at the Recreation Center.

ENTRY FORM INSTRUCTIONS:
• Open to all ages; there is no entry fee.
• Eligible artists must have a connection to Millbrae. This includes current and former residents, students attending schools in these cities, employees working within the area, and individuals with family members residing in Millbrae.
• Submit up to three (3) artwork pieces.
• Artists shall have the option to sell their artwork.
• Complete the applicable information on the Entry Form. Acceptable Entry Form must meet all Art Show Standards.
• Submit the online entry forms by 5:00pm, April 23, 2025.

ART RULES:
We can only accept “All-Ages Friendly Art.” Artwork must not depict violence or objects of violence, illegal substances, discriminatory themes, or sexual content.
• Art mediums may include oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolor paint, colored pencil, ink, chalk, pen, ceramics, metal, stone, wood, paper, fiber.
• Art forms may include painting, sculpture, textiles, collage, origami, printmaking, woodworking, papercraft, floral design, photography.

We cannot accept digital media this year.

ART SPECIFICATIONS:
• 3D Art should fit on a 3' round table, be able to stand alone and be no more than 30 lbs.
• 2-dimensional, no more than two inches in depth, including frame, and no larger than 30” x 40.”
• Paintings on canvas or under glass must be framed and prepared with braided wire on the back for secure hanging. Lighter work on paper must be mounted and matted with loops on the back for hanging.
• Elementary school entries may be mounted on construction paper.

ART DROP OFF:
Entry drop-off is at the Millbrae Recreation Center Front Desk at the scheduled drop-off times below. You will be given a claim ticket and asked to verify the information on your entry form.

~Wednesday, May 7th, 4:00–7:00 p.m.
~Thursday, May 8th, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

ART PICK UP:
Entries should be picked up at the Millbrae Recreation Center by Monday, May 12th, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please bring your claim ticket.
