23-24 Parent Opt-Out for State Assessments-DCA
Destinations Career Academy of Colorado, a member of the Julesburg School District, uses multiple measures to:
• Determine achievement and growth of students
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum, instruction, and leadership
• Determine the performance level of the students and schools
Summative state assessments are required as one part of our multiple measures and “every student enrolled in a public school is required to take the assessments in the grade level in which the student is enrolled” C.R.S. 22-7- 409 (1.2)(d)(I). Assessment results are used to measure student mastery of the Colorado Academic Standards.
