RISING STARS AWARD Student/Parent Application

This application is for the 2025-26 school year.

Infinite Music™ Rising Stars is a music award program granting private music lessons which emphasize preparation, courage, critical thinking, and perseverance while providing an invaluable opportunity for students to improve their instrumental or vocal skills. This award is available to students that are enrolled in 7th–12th grades (public middle and high schools only).

There is no cost to apply; this award is fully funded by Infinite Music and its sponsors. Each year, award amounts are based on the sponsorship and grant dollars available.

Rising Stars™ Program Goals
• Provide financial support for individual or small group instrumental/vocal lessons.
• Improve recipient’s musical proficiency and the associated benefits of music.
• Foster musical interest and enhance lifelong learning.
• Create the opportunity for peer mentorship.
• Participate in a performance opportunity with other Rising Stars™ award recipients.
Who Can Apply: Student Criteria
• Student must be between 12 and 18 years of age and enrolled in 7th–12th grades by September 1, 2025.
• Student must maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
• Student must show proficiency and dedication to advancing in their chosen instrument (all instruments including voice, guitar and strings).
• Student currently must not be receiving private music lessons.
• Student must be a US citizen and San Luis Obispo County or Northern Santa Barbara County resident.
• Student must have the permission and signature of a parent/guardian.
• Only one application allowed per student. Incomplete applications will be returned for completion, or disqualified.
• Student must be endorsed by a school teacher, school music teacher, counselor or principal.

• Please note that applying is not a guarantee of selection or award. Applications will be reviewed by the IM Rising Stars Selection Committee; awarded recipients and their parent/guardian will receive notification in early November 2025.
