PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTATION
This online form ensures the success of your Relaxer or Texturizer by evaluating your hair's length, density, condition, texture, and chemical history to prevent adverse reactions. It also helps us identify your hair goals and schedule the most suitable services. Note: Relaxer/Texturizer services are available Wednesdays - Saturdays.

HOW TO RESERVE YOUR APPOINTMENT
1. Complete the Form: Fill out and submit the Relaxer/Texturizer consultation form.

2. Review Process: Ms. CeCe (Stylist) will review your form and offer personalized recommendations based on your hair's condition. Additional details may be requested as needed.

3. Response: Expect an email response within 72 business hours. Our appointment coordinator, Joy, is available Tuesday to Saturday, 8 AM to 4 PM. You'll receive a confirmed appointment quote and summary regarding your hair's suitability.

4. Confirm Your Appointment: Review the personalized quote and respond with your preferred dates via email or text to our Client Service Coordinator.

5. Secure Your Booking: Submit payment for your selected Relaxer/Texturizer service or choose a payment plan option to finalize your appointment.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- You may be placed on a waitlist with an estimated wait time of 1-4 weeks.
- A response is required within 72 hours (3 days) to schedule your appointment. Failure to respond will forfeit the booking.

- We will take non-identifiable photos/videos for social media to showcase our services.

    Even if chemical treatments were done over a year ago, residues can still be present in the hair shaft, impacting its structure and health. Disclosing any past treatments allows us to assess your hair’s compatibility with the Relaxer/Texturizer process and helps minimize the risk of damage or unwanted results.

    HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HAIR LENGTH
    For an accurate measurement, use a flexible measuring tape. Start at your scalp and extend the tape along the length of your hair to determine its length in inches or centimeters.

    Hair density affects how much cream relaxer is required for proper saturation and processing - more density may require more product and service time.

    - Place your hair into a ponytail using a ponytail holder (wrapping 2x's).
    - Wrap a flexible tape measure around the base of your ponytail (this reveals your hairs' density).

    HD - High Density Hair requires more time and product usage.

    This helps us to QUOTE CORRECT pricing and allocate and anticipate the amount of time and product usage your GinaCurl service may be.

    If you have significant damage, we recommend:

    Damaged Hair Repair Treatment – $130 per session (3-5 sessions recommended before any chemical). It restores essential elements to revitalize your hair.

    Mizani Butter Blend Relaxer – Price varies (retouch vs. virgin). It smooths brittle hair, reduces 70-90% of curl, and is good for fine, color-treated hair while maintaining texture versatility.

    Convenience appointments are appointments outside of regular operating days and hours and must be coordinated with our Client Service Coordinator via Text/Email.

  • NOTICE: BRAID REMOVAL & DETANGLING

    If you're removing braids, twists, or extensions after an extended period, please shampoo, condition, and detangle your hair 4 days before your relaxer appointment, and oil your scalp.

    Detangling matted hair is not included in our service time. If you arrive with matted hair, we may need to cancel your appointment.

    Please note that detangling or removing extens Ions during your scheduled appointment is not permitted; it is a separate service with additional fees. Thank you for your understanding.
  • POROSITY & ELASTICITY TEST


    A porosity and elasticity test is required on the day of your relaxer at no extra cost. It assesses your hair’s health, helps determine the appropriate formula strength, and guides the processing time.
  • This payment is non-refundable and non-transferable, as it reserves 3-4 hours on our calendar, preventing others from booking during that time.
  • CLIENT SAFETY

    Your clothes may be exposed to the chemicals and products despite our best efforts to protect them. We advise that you dress down at your Relaxer appointment, bring an extra shirti if necessary.

    There is a risk of your jewelry (earrings, necklaces, etc.) being damaged or lost during your service(s). We advise that your remove them before your service(s).

    Final payment is due UPON ARRIVAL the day of your Relaxer/Texturizer appointment.
  • Preparation Tips for Your Relaxer Appointment

    - Be Prepared: Have realistic options for your hair goals.
    - Wash Your Hair: Clean your hair min 3 DAYS max 5 days before; Feel free to oil your scalp as it creates a protective barrier from the chemical.
    - Minimal Products: Arrive with little to no products in your hair.
    - Detangle: Ensure your hair is comb-able from root to ends.
    - Trim if Needed: If it’s been over 3 months (12 Weeks) since your last trim or you have split ends, consider a trim for clean ends.
    - Dress Accordingly: Avoid favorite clothing or jewelry.
    - Pack a Snack: Appointments may last 2-5 hours; ECS offers beverages and light snacks.
    - Budget for At-Home Care: Maintain your investment with salon-quality shampoo and products.
    - Invest in Good Products: Allocate budget for specialized products to preserve your Relaxer/Texturizer service.
  • Damaged Hair Recommendations

    If your hair is not ready for a relaxer, we recommend a Silk Press or Silk Blowout with Protein and/or Reconditioning Treatments. You might also consider our Hair Rebuilding Treatment, which includes three to five sessions at 120 dollars each to restore strength.

    It’s best to avoid heat and chemical services until your hair is fully healed. An at-home repair kit is also available for purchase.
  • WHAT'S NEXT?

    After reviewing your Relaxer/Texturizer Online consultation and the photos we will send you a quote VIA EMAIL and be able to answer your questions and/or concerns on a more personal level.
  • CLIENT TARDINESS & LATE START NOTICE

    All clients are granted a 10-minute grace period for all appointments. After 15 minutes we reserve the right to cancel, reschedule or proceed with services and Charge a Late Start Fee.

    - $25 Late Start Fee – General Services

    - $50 Late Start Fee - Premium Specialty Services

    Please arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to provide your full service and might need to reschedule. A new deposit may be required to reserve a new appointment to avoid disrupting others.
  • STYLIST LATE START FEE/COMPENSATION OPTION

    There may be a wait of up to 15 minutes before your appointment starts. Working with curly hair can be time-consuming, and while we strive to stay on schedule, delays may occur. If we're running behind, we will send a text message 30 minutes to 1 hour before your appointment.

    If we are more than 15 minutes late, we will offer a discount of $10 to $30 off your service OR complimentary service compensation for your current or next appointment, at the stylist's discretion.
