Doors Open London 2019
Untold Stories of the Forest City

What is Doors Open London (DOL)? DOL is the city's largest collective celebration of history, heritage, and culture. In its 18th year, DOL is one of the longest running community celebrations in Ontario.

When is Doors Open London? DOL is scheduled for September 14th and 15th, 2019.

Why should my organization participate in Doors Open London? By participating in DOL, your site will be included in the London Heritage Council's city-wide marketing program and provincial Doors Open Ontario marketing, promoting your organization to tens of thousands of Londoners and across the province. DOL is a great opportunity to reach new audiences and bring new groups into your spaces and programs.

Please note that not all organizations who apply will be selected

What is this year's theme? The theme for 2019 is “Untold Stories of the Forest City.” This theme will allow partnering sites and organizations to communicate their untold stories and histories. DOL 2019 will centre on the diverse ways Londoners connect and share information, express their cultural traditions and identities, and connect to the wider world. From technologies such as television and radio broadcasting connecting people across the City, to the expression of Indigenous oral traditions, communication animates London, Ontario, and brings our stories to life.

How will participating sites be selected? Sites will be selected based on how well programming relates to the Doors Open London 2019 theme.

When is the deadline for submitting an application?
Deadline for submission is April 30, 2019 at 5:00pm EST.

What else do I need to know? If you have any further questions, please read the "Participating Criteria" below, if you can't find your answer there, please contact:
