Celebrate Leadership Application Form
Girls/parents use this form to apply to be a Girl Representative for the Celebrate Leadership program. Girls must:

1. Be in grade K-11 (grade 1-12 at time of the Celebrate Leadership Event in Fall).
2. Be a registered member of the Girl Scouts of Orange County.
3. Have parent permission to participate if selected.

Girls must be available for an interview if requested.

If selected, girls must be able and willing to participate in 3 rehearsals, a special event with women honorees, and the Celebrate Leadership event in the Fall.

Note: Girls complete the Application Form plus submit one Nomination Form and one Reference Form.

Nomination Deadline: April 15 annually

  • Celebrate Leadership applicants please complete 3 steps:

    1. Submit an essay and/or drawing that describes what you have achieved because of Girl Scouting and why you want to be a Celebrate Leadership Girl Representative.
    2. Provide a school picture or other photo and a short video of yourself describing what you have achieved because of Girl Scouting and why you want to be a Celebrate Leadership Girl Representative.
    3. Provide the name and email of one individual (other than the nominator) who can speak to your leadership. We encourage girls to select one Girl Scout nominator such as a troop leader or parent and one non Girl Scout reference such as a teacher or coach.

  • Note: Girl Representative nominees must be registered Girl Scout members of GSOC.

  • Your Essay and/or Drawing, Photo and Video is required.

    Note: The essay and/or drawing (or other work of art) must be the work of the girl and describe what she has achieved because of Girl Scouting and why she wants to be a Celebrate Leadership Girl Representative.

    • Girl Scout Daisy and Brownie applicants must submit a drawing (or other work of art) and may include a short description in their own words that shows how Girl Scouts has helped them to achieve a goal, award, etc. and why they want to be a Celebrate Leadership Girl Representative.

    • Girl Scout Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador applicants must submit an essay and may include a drawing (or other work of art) that describes how Girl Scouts has helped them to achieve a goal, award, etc. and why they want to be a Celebrate Leadership Girl Representative.

  • Upload an image of the nominee's drawing or other work of art or email to lfinch@girlscoutsoc.org or send the orginal art to the address above. Please include the nominee's name and Celebrate Leadership in the submission. Thank you.
  • Upload a photo of the nominee. Please include the nominee's name and Celebrate Leadership in the file name. Thank you.
  • Upload a short 1-3 minute video of the nominee describing what she has achieved because of Girl Scouting and why she wants to be a Celebrate Leadership Girl Representative. Please include the nominee's name and Celebrate Leadership in the file name.

  • Reference

    Please provide the name and email of one individual (other than the nominator) who can speak to your leadership experience. This person should complete the Reference Form.
