Welcome! This consultation is the first step in helping Ms. CeCe determine whether Japanese Hair Straightening is appropriate for your hair condition, chemical history, texture, and desired results.

If you are a new client or it has been more than 6 months since your last completed ECS visit, please complete this consultation before scheduling a Japanese Hair Straightening service.

PURPOSE OF THIS CONSULTATION
Japanese Hair Straightening is a permanent chemical and thermal restructuring service. Your responses and photographs help Ms. CeCe evaluate your hair condition, chemical history, compatibility, and desired results before making a professional recommendation.

Additional questions, photographs, a strand test, or an in-person assessment may be required before service eligibility, recommendations, or pricing can be finalized.

CONSULTATION PROCESS
Step 1 - Complete Your Consultation Form
Submit all required information, current photographs, hair and chemical history, straightening goals, and scheduling preferences. Incomplete information may delay your review.

Step 2 - Ms. CeCe’s Stylist Review
Ms. CeCe personally reviews your hair condition, chemical history, photographs, and desired results.

Step 3 - Pre-Check, If Needed
If more information is needed, our Client Coordinator will send additional questions or request updated photographs. A strand test or in-person assessment may also be required.

Step 4 - Personalized Quote & Service Summary
Please allow approximately 2-5 business days for the initial review. Once the required information has been reviewed, you will receive your professional service recommendation, confirmed or preliminary length/service classification, estimated final investment, any required adjustments or support services, payment balance information, appointment options, and next steps.

Step 5 - COMPLETE YOUR PATHWAY
If you purchased a Japanese Hair Straightening length through Vagaro before completing this consultation, your payment will be credited toward your professionally approved service total.

Your selected length is preliminary and will be verified by ECS. Any remaining balance will be based on your final approved service requirements.

Your appointment is reserved only after consultation review, required payment, and written confirmation from ECS.

IMPORTANT SERVICE NOTES
Japanese Hair Straightening permanently restructures the treated hair. New growth will retain your natural texture and may require a future retouch.

Service eligibility, timing, pricing, and product usage vary based on your hair condition, texture, density, stretched length, chemical history, and service complexity.

  • Active irritation, open sores, broken skin, or recent scalp injury may require the Japanese Hair Straightening service to be postponed until the scalp has healed.

  • HAIR TEXTURE + MAINTENANCE BACKGROUND

    The following information helps Ms. CeCe understand your natural texture, strand characteristics, routine, heat exposure, strengthening history, and current haircut or trim needs.

    Please answer based on your natural hair whenever possible.

  • CURRENT HAIR DENSITY

    Hair density may affect JHST service timing, product usage, thermal work, and pricing.
  • To estimate, gather all your hair into one ponytail and measure around it with a flexible measuring tape. Your measurement does not need to be exact.

    Ms. CeCe will complete an official Hair Density Assessment to verify your density classification. Depending on the verified measurement, a density adjustment of approximately $15-$125 may apply to the preliminary service investment.

  • CURRENT HAIR LENGTH

    Hair length helps Ms. CeCe estimate service timing, product usage, complexity, and preliminary pricing.

  • CHEMICAL COMPATIBILITY & JHST ELIGIBILITY SCREENING

    Japanese Hair Straightening permanently restructures the hair. Previous chemical services must be reviewed carefully to prevent chemical overlap, breakage, or an incompatible service combination.

    Previous chemical services do not automatically disqualify you. However, additional review, a strand test, preparation services, grow-out time, or an alternative recommendation may be required.

  • Chemically processed hair can remain present until it has completely grown out and been cut off. Accurate history is required so Ms. CeCe can evaluate JHST compatibility and avoid unnecessary chemical overlap.

  • CURRENT HAIR COLOR + LIGHTENING HISTORY

  • Color and lightening services may affect JHST eligibility, timing, and processing. Ms. CeCe will recommend the safest service order and waiting period.

  • PREVIOUS JAPANESE HAIR STRAIGHTENING HISTORY

  • IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTE

    Highlighted, balayaged, bleached, fragile, thinning, or chemically compromised hair may require mandatory strand testing and may not qualify for Japanese Hair Straightening.

    When previous chemistry cannot be identified and processed hair remains, JHST approval requires:

    - in-person hair and scalp verification
    - mandatory strand testing
    - Pre-Chemical Balancing
    - Olaplex Bond Repair
    - selective application and protection of previously processed areas

    Fragile, thinning, lightened, or otherwise compromised areas may be modified, excluded from processing, or determined unsuitable for JHST.

  • EXTENSIONS + PROTECTIVE-STYLING HISTORY

    Extensions and protective styles may temporarily conceal your natural texture, current length, density, chemical grow-out, scalp condition, or areas of breakage.

    Your natural hair must be completely removed from extensions or protective styling before required photographs, strand testing, or final Japanese Hair Straightening evaluation can be completed.

  • SAVE + RESUME REMINDER

    If you are currently wearing extensions or a protective style, you may complete the other consultation questions now and use the SAVE & RESUME option before reaching the required photo section.

    Return to the form after the style has been completely removed and your natural hair is loose and accessible.

  • REQUIRED JHST PHOTO SUBMISSION

    Current photographs are required to help Ms. CeCe evaluate your:

    - natural texture and new growth
    - stretched length
    - density indicators
    - current hair condition
    - previously processed areas
    - chemical grow-out
    - preliminary JHST compatibility

    Please submit clear, recent photographs taken against a plain background whenever possible.

  • PHOTO PREPARATION

    For the most accurate review, your hair must be dry, loose, reasonably detangled, free from extensions or protective styles, and minimally coated with products. Do not use filters or obscure the hair with wigs, hats, or scarves.

    Do not flat-iron or chemically alter your hair for these photographs. Unclear, filtered, or outdated photos may require resubmission.

    Current photographs support a preliminary professional assessment only.

    Final JHST eligibility, hair condition, stretched length, density, chemical grow-out, application zones, product requirements, service duration, and pricing remain subject to in-person verification and any required strand testing.

  • JHST GOALS + SERVICE CLASSIFICATION

    Japanese Hair Straightening is a permanent chemical and thermal restructuring service designed to create maximum straightness, smoothness, and easier manageability.

    Treated hair remains permanently straight. New growth will retain your natural texture and may require a future retouch.

  • Japanese Hair Straightening is not intended for clients who want to preserve their natural curl pattern. If your primary goal is frizz reduction while maintaining curls or waves, Ms. CeCe may recommend another smoothing service.

  • JHST EXTENDED-GROWTH RECLASSIFICATION STANDARD

    If it has been approximately eight months or longer since your last Japanese Hair Straightening or permanent thermal-straightening service, your next appointment will be reclassified as a Virgin Application for scheduling and pricing purposes.

    Extended new growth may require additional product, processing time, thermal work, and detailed application. Selected previously straightened areas may also require a professionally determined pull-through to address reversion, incomplete straightening, or uneven texture.

    This classification does not mean that previously processed hair is chemically virgin. A pull-through is not automatically applied throughout the hair. Previously straightened mid-lengths and ends must be evaluated and may be protected, selectively treated, or excluded from processing based on their condition and what the hair can safely support.

  • SCHEDULING + CONVENIENCE APPOINTMENTS

    Japanese Hair Straightening is an extended specialty service that may require several uninterrupted hours. Appointment options depend on your service classification, hair length, density, condition, chemical history, and estimated service requirements.

  • CONVENIENCE APPOINTMENTS

    Appointments outside regular service days or hours may occasionally be available for an additional fee.

  • Appointment availability is not guaranteed. ECS will review your preferences and provide available options in your personalized Quote & Summary.

    Your appointment cannot be reserved until the consultation review, any required pre-check or strand testing, and the required payment or approved payment arrangement have been completed.

  • JAPANESE HAIR STRAIGHTENING READINESS

    Clients may purchase the JHST length category they believe best matches their current stretched hair length before completing the required professional consultation review.

    Your selected length is preliminary. Ms. CeCe will verify your final service classification based on your consultation, photographs, hair history, stretched length, density, condition, and service requirements.

    If your approved classification differs, all eligible money already paid will be credited toward your final JHST service total. Any remaining balance will be due according to your personalized Quote & Service Summary.

    Purchasing through Vagaro does not replace the required consultation or professional assessment and does not guarantee service eligibility.

    JHST purchases are non-refundable and must be applied toward an approved service completed within the 90-day service window.

  • PAYMENT PATHWAYS + RESERVATION REQUIREMENTS

    Japanese Hair Straightening is an extended specialty service. Completing this consultation, receiving a Quote & Summary, selecting an appointment date, or choosing a payment preference does not reserve an appointment.

    - required deposit or payment amount
    - approved payment instructions
    - reservation deadline

  • SELECT YOUR PREFERRED PAYMENT PATHWAY

  • JHST DEPOSIT + PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

    Your selected payment pathway helps ECS prepare the appropriate payment instructions and deadlines in your personalized JHST Quote & Summary.

    If approved to move forward:

    - Use only the deposit or payment instructions provided specifically for your approved JHST service.
    - If you have not already purchased an eligible JHST service through Vagaro, submit additional deposits or service payments only according to the instructions provided in your personalized Quote & Service Summary.
    - Applicable deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and applied toward the reserved JHST service investment.
    - Payment plans must be approved and ready for use at least seven business days before the appointment.
    - Cherry Pay checkout must be completed within the reservation period provided in your Quote & Summary.
    - Financing eligibility, payment schedules, and available terms are determined by the applicable payment provider.

    After completing your approved deposit or payment, send your payment confirmation to the ECS Textline at 480-485-4413.

  • PREPARING FOR YOUR JHST APPOINTMENT

    Unless you receive different personalized instructions, please arrive with your hair:

    clean, dry, loose, and reasonably detangled
    free from extensions and protective styles
    minimally coated with oils, gels, edge control, or heavy products

    Please also:

    - do not shampoo your hair on the day of your appointment
    - avoid scratching or irritating your scalp for at least 48 hours
    - do not complete any unapproved chemical or color services
    - wear comfortable clothing with an open neckline

    Additional preparation instructions may be included in your personalized JHST Quote & Summary.

  • 72-HOUR POST-SERVICE CARE

    Unless Ms. CeCe provides different instructions, during the first 72 hours after your JHST service:

    - do not shampoo or wet your hair
    - avoid steam, excessive sweating, and moisture
    - do not use ponytails, clips, pins, hats, or anything that may bend or crease the hair
    - keep your hair straight and loose while sleeping
    - contact ECS for guidance if your hair becomes wet, bent, or creased

    Ms. CeCe will confirm your specific aftercare instructions before you leave the salon.

  • JHST CANCELLATION + RESCHEDULING POLICY

    Japanese Hair Straightening requires an extended appointment block. All cancellation or rescheduling requests must be received at least 72 hours before your scheduled appointment.

    - One courtesy date change may be permitted when:
    - the request is received at least 72 hours in advance
    - the new appointment is selected within 14 days
    - suitable availability exists

    Changes requested within 72 hours, missed appointments, or additional date changes will result in cancellation of the appointment and forfeiture of the reservation payment. A new reservation payment will be required before another appointment can be confirmed.

  • JHST LATE-ARRIVAL POLICY

    Japanese Hair Straightening requires several uninterrupted hours. Please arrive on time and prepared for your service.

    Arrivals of 15 minutes or more may incur an additional late fee if the service can still be completed.
    Arrivals of 20 minutes or more may require the appointment to be rescheduled.

    If rescheduling is required because of late arrival, the reservation payment will be forfeited and a new payment will be required.

  • JHST PRELIMINARY QUOTE + FINAL PRICING

    Your personalized JHST Quote & Summary provides a preliminary service estimate based on the information and photographs submitted.

    Final service requirements and pricing may change after in-person verification of:

    - stretched hair length and density
    - current hair and scalp condition
    - chemical, color, and straightening history
    - amount of new growth
    - previously processed areas
    - required product usage
    - service classification
    - processing and thermal-work requirements
    - selective pull-through or corrective work
    - required preparation, support treatments, haircut, or trim

    Whenever possible, Ms. CeCe will review necessary service or pricing adjustments with you before proceeding.

  • JHST HOME MAINTENANCE KIT

    Professional home care helps support the moisture balance, softness, strength, and appearance of JHST-treated hair. Recommended Japanese Hair Straightening maintenance products and the complete ECS JHST Home Maintenance Kit are available for purchase at the salon.

  • WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

    Ms. CeCe will review your consultation, photographs, hair history, and service goals.

    Please allow approximately 2–5 business days for the initial review. If additional information, updated photographs, an in-person assessment, or strand testing is needed, ECS will contact you before finalizing your recommendation.

    Once the required information has been reviewed, you may receive a personalized JHST Quote & Summary containing your:
