Fall 2020 Mentee Application
Application period extended through Friday, November 20.

The ALSC Mentoring Program is designed to develop the skills and confidence of early career children's librarians by matching them with a mentor who can encourage networking opportunities, share the value of service on ALSC committees and improve on the recommended competencies outlined in the ALSC Competencies for Librarians Serving Children in Public Libraries. Through this partnership, both mentor and mentee will develop leadership skills that will be beneficial in their library careers.

Mentee applicants do not need to be ALSC or ALA members, but are encouraged to be familiar with the ALSC Core Competencies before applying.

To be considered for the ALSC Mentoring Program as a mentee, please fill out the application below.
