The Dawson Independent School District offers full-day Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) programs for students who are three or four years old by September 1, 2020 reside within the Dawson ISD boundaries, and meet one or more of the following eligibility criteria established by the Texas Legislature:

- The child is Limited English Proficient
- The child's family meets the Federal Income Guidelines for the National School Lunch Programs
- The child is homeless
- The student is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces
- The student is the child of a parent who was killed or injured during active military duty
- The child is currently or was previously in the Foster Care Program
- The student is the child of a peace officer, firefighter, or an emergency medical first responder who is eligible

Qualifying students will be accepted into the program first. Non-qualifying students will be accepted as well, but acceptance is based on space and availability.

- Student’s Birth certificate or passport
- Court documents regarding parental rights, if applicable.
- Student's Social Security Card (NOT A COPY)
- Immunization Record
- Copy of Parent/Guardian's Driver's License or ID
- Income verification (PLEASE NOTE: Acceptable documents include most recent pay stub or unemployment, Worker's Compensation, or Disability payment stub.)

- Copy of a lease agreement or sale/lease contract
- Current Voter Registration Card showing address within Dawson ISD boundary
- Current utility bill or utility deposit. PLEASE NOTE: It must be a gas, water or electric bill. Bill must be current and show the name and address of the parent/guardian.
- Proof of income.

You will be able to securely transmit some of these documents all the end of your completed application. You will need to provide the Social Security Card and Court Documents in person.
