FMEC Annual Meeting: Call for Submission
  • ALL PRESENTERS, EXCEPT MEDICAL STUDENTS, ARE EXPECTED TO PAY A FULL REGISTRATION FEE

    Deadline for Faculty/Resident/Student submissions (excluding student posters) is FEBRUARY 11, 2022.

    NOTE: No faculty or resident submissions will be accepted After FEBRUARY 11, 2022.

    Deadline for receipt of Medical Student POSTER Submissions is JULY 1, 2022.

    DEFINITION OF A MEDICAL STUDENT PRESENTER AND SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT:
    Only current full-time medical students are eligible to attend the FMEC meeting and they must apply for an FMEC scholarship. Please contact jennifer.stamper@fmec.net if you have questions about your eligibility before continuing your submission.

    Please note:

    The FMEC does not offer a one-day registration fee. All accepted presenters are required to register for the full meeting.

    Only online submissions will be considered.

    Space for up to 5 authors is provided, but it is not necessary to list 5 authors. Please list those who developed the session and expect to attend the Annual Meeting to present it. Maximum authors is five (5) per submission.

    Communication will occur with each author for whom an e-mail address is provided.

  • Title is limited to 200 characters or fewer
  • Author Information: Up to Five (5) Authors will be printed in the final program.

  • Limit Abstract to 100 words or fewer. FMEC reserves the right to revise any Abstract over 100 words.
  • Proposal: Clinical Success/Power Stories

    This venue allows presenters to a) share a patient story which has inspired their own passion to serve and care for others or that reveals one or more of the core attributes of Family Medicine or b) share a story that addresses the teaching of students/residents.

    Accepted presenters will be allowed a maximum of five minutes and five slides to introduce a memorable encounter/moment/relationship. Up to 10 presentations will be selected for presentation at this year’s meeting. The submission should include the written story. (two to three pages single space maximum)
  • The conference is charged a fee for all A/V equipment. Please be judicious with "other" requests. All presentation rooms will have a laptop, LCD Projector, and one (1) flip-chart provided. PC external speakers are not provided. Presenters using MAC personal computers are expected to provide their own equipment and accessories.

  • All presentation rooms will have 1 laptop and 1 LCD Projector provided.
