    We'll need to know your details, so we can contact you to inform you whether or not the person you nominated has been chosen to receive a Legacy Award.

    We cannot accept self-nominations or nominations from people related to or cohabiting with the nominee.
  • Reference's Contact Details

    In order for us to verify the information you have provided, we'll need the details of a person who is unrelated to the nominee and is willing to be a reference. The reference should be a different person than the nominator.

    The reference should have credible knowledge of the nominee's background and accomplishments.

    References will only be contacted if the nominee has been shortlisted.

    The nominee will only be contacted if they have won a Legacy Award, and if that is the case, you will be informed first. Under no circumstances will Volunteer Toronto contact the nominee without your prior permission.
  • The nominee should live within the City of Toronto and have a postal code beginning with "M".

    The City of Toronto includes North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke.

    Unfortunately, we are not able to accept nominations for volunteers who live in neighbouring cities such as Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill or Pickering.

  • Nominee's Contribution to the Community

    In this section, we'll ask you about how the person you are nominating has contributed to the community so we have a clear idea of what they have done and what their achievements are.

    - How long they have been actively involved in the community
