We will be holding elections for 1-2 Senator positions to represent UOnline in the University of Miami Graduate Student Association on Monday, September 12th. All active new and continuing students are eligible to apply.

What is the GSA? The University of Miami’s Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) is a student-governed body committed to promoting effective graduate student participation in University affairs, advocating on behalf of the UM graduate student body, and improving the quality of life for all UM graduate and medical students. With over 4,000 graduate students in 60 doctoral programs and 110 master’s programs across our three major campuses (Coral Gables, Miller School of Medicine, and the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences), the GSA serves as the liaison between the graduate student body and the administration. Since our creation in 1969, we have been supporting the graduate student population, making their welfare our priority.

Your application should include a biography detailing your current program of study, your background, why you feel you would be a strong representative of our UOnline programs. Feel free to include any fun details you think might set you apart and let your fellow UOnline students get to know you!

If nominating a classmate, please include why you are nominating them and why you feel they would best represent UOnline.

VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH
All UOnline students will have the ability to vote on the nominees and be part of the selection process. Please stay tuned for announcements via the UOnline Support Center!
