Salem Friends of Felines - Volunteer Application
Salem Friends of Felines is a no-kill organization for cats in Salem. We are a large group of dedicated, caring, and hardworking individuals committed to helping cats and people in our community. The mission of Salem Friends of Felines is to provide shelter services to homeless cats in Marion & Polk counties in order to reduce cat homelessness.

SFOF offers spay and neuter assistance through a low cost voucher program. Our goal is to help with the problem of cat over-population. Salem Friends of Felines is a community resource for the welfare of homeless, abandoned, and abused cats and kittens in Salem, Oregon, and its surrounding cities. Our goal is to lower euthanasia rates at our local animal control services and kill shelters by:

• Bringing homeless pets into our program for medical and social rehabilitation and re-homing; and
• Providing resources to pet owners to encourage their responsibility and commitment to their pets and prevent them from contributing to the homeless pet population (i.e., spay/neuter awareness and micro-chipping).

We want to continue to be a valuable resource to our community. We strongly believe that one person can make the difference in the life of an animal in need and as an organization, we can achieve more than we could individually.

Volunteers are given as much or as little responsibility as they choose, once we are aware of their abilities and after completing the necessary orientation and trial service period.

Some Volunteer Positions will require a formal interview. More information about the different positions will be discussed at the orientation.
