The scholarship is in the amount of $500.00 and will be awarded for the spring semester.

Candidates will be chosen through a committee process. Applications must be received prior
to December 31.

Complete the following steps:

The student selected must meet the following criteria:

o Must be in the 2nd year of any Oklahoma Veterinary Technician Program.

o Student must be enrolled in at least 6 hours of course work for the upcoming Spring semester.

o Grade point average of 2.5 or greater (exclusively) in the Veterinary
Technician Program courses.

o Demonstrate current membership in the Veterinary Technician Student
Association.

o Submit one letter of recommendation from someone other than teaching
faculty of the Veterinary Technician Program.

o Submit a typed 200–250-word essay on “My Aspirations and Contributions as a
Registered Veterinary Technician in the field of Veterinary Medicine”.
