Council Members: We all need to work hard to keep St. Petersburg special! The Earl Gresh Wood Parade building, also known as the Melting Pot Restaurant, on 4th St. N. near 22nd Ave., is a piece of what makes us special! It is an excellent example of the roadside architecture from past decades that was so important in making St. Petersburg a successful and leading tourist destination. The historic roadside architecture along 4th Street is rapidly disappearing, I urge the City to consider the signficance of this building and to have a discussion to identify options to encourage the building's reuse and how to protect the best of the historic roadside architecture and resources along the 4th Street corridor. Let's preserve the 'Burg and keep our city special!
