IAA Summer Art Detective Program for Kids

COST: Tuition for Art Detective Camp is $50 per month per student. Supplies are included.

Schedule: Parents have the choice of enrolling their children in either Wednesday or Thursday classes. Classes are held from 9am-12noon.


In July students will explore the art and designs of Mexico with paper mache sculptures, Mexican tin work and mask making. Create imaginative kites and dragons in the Japanese design tradition. Explore fabric printmaking on Adinkra cloth. Create animals and tribal dolls of Africa. They end their art discovery journey with creating a Chinese storyboard and scrolls in the Year of the Pig.

In August students venture into the discovery of designing and creating a 3D house. Creating sculptures out of different organic materials. Paint a self-portrait and a masterpiece of color. Become a chef printmaker and painter in the culinary visual arts.
