Address for parking/meeting location: 7901 NE 6th Avenue, Vancouver 98665.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! At this event we will be working with the Washington Department of Transportation, Clark County Public Works, the Hazel Dell Salmon Creek Business Association (HDSCBA) and the NE Hazel Dell Neighborhood Association (NEHDNA) to plant trees and daffodils on the I-5 on and off ramps at the 78th Street exit.

We will park and meet in the large empty lots just north of the Jack in the Box on NE 6th Avenue. Please refer to the map and address above.

Due to the location of the project and associated safety concerns, volunteers must be at least 15 years of age to participate in the landscaping project. All volunteers must complete a liability release form. If you are under 18, please copy and paste this URL into your browser to access the form: http://www.parkhero.org/Documents/AAHReleaseForm.pdf. You will need to print the form, have your parent or guardian sign it, and bring it with you to the event.

This event will occur rain or shine, so please wear weather-appropriate clothing, long pants, and sturdy, closed toe shoes. If you have shovels or gloves, please bring them. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

The chairperson for this project is Vicki Fitzsimmons, board member of the HDSCBA and NEHDNA. If you have any questions, please contact her at vicki.fitzsimmons@edwardjones.com. Or, you can contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Karen Llewellyn, at 360.397.6118 ext. 1627 or karen.llewellyn@clark.wa.gov.

This is an exciting beautification project, and we need lots of help digging holes, planting trees, and spreading bark dust! Looking forward to seeing you there.
