April is National Poetry Month, a time to celebrate poets and their craft. In honor of National Poetry Month, GSOC is inviting Girl Scouts to submit an original poem to be included in our digital 2024 GSOC Poetry Webzine! Each Girl Scout is permitted to submit one original poem, which can also be illustrated!

Poetry Submission Guidelines
1. All work must be original.
2. Only one entry per GSOC Girl Scout (Daisy through Ambassador level).
3. Entries must be submitted digitally by Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 11:59pm to be included in 2024 GSOC Poetry Zine.
4. Poetry submissions should be in alignment with the values of our Girl Scout Promise & Law. Poems dealing with references to drug use, obscenity, defamatory statements, violence or gang activity, satanic or cult themes, or other offensive or objectionable content will be not accepted.
5. Poems must be no larger than one 8½ X 11 page in length including illustration. See sample for ideas.
6. Girl Scouts may use any form of poetry, such as Theme Poems, Acrostic Poems, Diamante Poems, Haiku, or other Poetry Types.
7. Parent must provide permission for Girl Scout’s submission to be published. Publication of Girl Scout’s Artist Profile or photo is optional. Artist Profile includes Girl Scout’s first name, level, # of years as a Girl Scout and Troop # or Juliette.

NOTE: This is not a contest. There are no fees or judging. All submissions meeting the guidelines will be included in the digital webzine.
