The Angel Sanchez, Sr. Scholarship program is named after Angel Sanchez, Sr., a World War II veteran and lifelong community servant who is the father of one of our founding members. The Scholarship is open to high school seniors who have volunteered a minimum of 25 hours and have fulfilled the additional Scholarship Committee requirements. The scholarship is awarded based on need, volunteer performance, and academic achievement.

    THE ANGEL SANCHEZ, SR. HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEER FOUR YEAR UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP

    *Maximum scholarship value $1000

    The Volunteer Scholarship is open to high school seniors who have volunteered 25 hours to the program, intend on pursuing a degree at an accredited 4 year university, and have fulfilled the additional Scholarship Committee requirements. The scholarship is awarded based on need, volunteer performance, and academic achievement.

    Requirements:

    * Applicant must live in or attend a school in the Inland Empire*.
    * Applicant must have accumulated a minimum of 25 volunteer hours with the Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family program in the year prior to applying.
    * Applicant must be in his/her senior year in high school.
    * Applicant must provide a copy of the Letter of Acceptance from the chosen post high school institution (accredited 4 year university) to the Scholarship Committee by June 1st. Checks will be issued directly to the institution on behalf of the recipient.
    * Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

    The Angel Sanchez, Sr. Youth Ambassador Scholarship
    *Maximum scholarship value $2000

    The Youth Ambassador Scholarship is open to high school seniors who have volunteered a minimum of 150 hours between their freshman and senior years with any non-profit and also meet the following requirements.

    Requirements:

    * Applicant must live in or attend a school in the Inland Empire*.
    * Applicant must have accumulated a minimum of 25 volunteer hours with the Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family program in the year prior to applying (These 25 hours are part of the 150 total number of required hours).
    * Applicant must apply in his/her senior year in high school.
    * Applicant must provide a copy of the Letter of Acceptance from the chosen post high school institution (accredited 4 year university) to the Scholarship Committee by July 1st. Checks will be issued directly to the institution on behalf of the recipient.
    * Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

    Applications must be submitted no later than April15, 2021

    FAILURE TO MEET ANY OF THE REQUIREMENTS, INCLUDING PROVIDING REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION BY THE DATES DUE WILL RESULT IN REVOCATION OF SCHOLARSHIP OFFER.

If your transcript does not list seventh semester classes, please provide a schedule of your seventh semester classes. If chosen as a finalist you must provide an official sealed copy of your transcripts by June 1, 2021.

    ACT or SAT test scores taken before January 10, 2021, must be included in the application. Photocopies or print¬outs from the SAT and/or ACT websites are acceptable. It is not necessary to send a separate sheet of test scores if they are included on your transcript.
