Booking air WITH your package (done by Traveling Person)
VS
booking air DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE (done by you, but we provide options for your consideration)
YOU HAVE THE MOST FLEXIBILITY IF YOU BOOK YOUR OWN AIR DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE OF YOUR CHOICE
It is in your best interest to BOOK YOUR OWN AIR DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE.
1 - any points or vouchers given by airlines must be redeemed directly by the consumer (you) with the airline that has issued them. Traveling Person cannot book these flights.
Airline Insurance - you can decide to PURCHASE AIR ONLY insurance with the airline directly at the time of purchase or you can DECLINE the air only insurance if you understand the cancellation policy for your airline.
2 - you will forward Traveling Person your entire flight schedule once you have booked (flight numbers, times, confirmation numbers, etc)
3 - if you have an outbound connection on the way to your international destination, you should give yourself at least 1 hour or more for your layover (closer to 2 hours is preferred but not always an option)
4 - on your return to the US, if you have a layover before your final destination you should ALLOW 90-120 minutes at an absolute minimum (2-3 hours is preferred these days) to clear US Customs and Immigration before your next flight… you can have shorter layovers if your entire travel party has Global Entry.
If you desire full control over your air tickets, it is advised that you purchase your tickets directly from the airline and not packaged with Traveling Person.
AIR CHANGES: once your trip is booked and you have committed to an air itinerary, it is the client's responsibility to monitor flights and sign up for notifications with their airline. Traveling Person will alert clients to any air schedule changes that are received by the airline or travel provider.
If the client voluntarily desires alternate pricing and/or alternate schedules, it is subject to a $50/request fee to investigate.
If the airline makes a schedule change, Traveling Person will assist with airline-driven changes as a complimentary service for your first request.
