BASIC RADIO PROCEDURES

1. Hold the radio approx. 8 inches from your mouth. Talk across the Mic, not into it
2. Sometimes speaking into the mic creates static.
3. Hold the transmit button down for one second, then
4. Speak slowly, clearly, and in a normal voice. Do not yell.
5. Call the person 1st. Example (your call sign) to Dispatch or another Radio Holder
6. Wait for a Response from the radio you called
7. When they answer the call, respond with your complete message
