Tipperary Wedding DJ Paudie Walsh at the brilliant Anner Hotel in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. The Anner is a 4 star hotel just on the outskirts of Thurles. The hotel and function room was renovated a number of years ago and now is one of the nicest rooms in Tipperary. I have played in all the top wedding venues in Tipperary and this is definitely one of my favorites. The matured gardens on the drive way and helpful staff make it a great venue for a wedding.

Tipperary Wedding DJ – The Setup
For this wedding, I was playing after a local Tipperary wedding band. I setup at the start of the evening with the band, before the first dance. This gave me a chance to watch the band play and see how the crowd reacted to their set. What they danced to and what they weren’t really interested in. From there I was able to judge my setlist. Having setup early also meant that there was no disruption later in the evening with me trying to bring in more equipment. It was all done at the same time as the band. As well as that, most importantly, I was able to start as soon as the band finished.
Tipperary Wedding DJ – The Music
I started with a great track from the 80’s Footloose and as you can see from the video below I didn’t give anyone a chance to leave the dance floor. In fact, the floor was packed from the moment I started right up to the last song. Following on from that, I added in Proud Mary and some Wham, two more 1980’s anthems. These are all floor filling songs and universal no matter the age group. I kept the music up tempo for the whole set adding in a few from the 1990’s and one or two chart songs. I finished with some rock (groom’s request) and some party favorites like 500 Miles from the Proclaimers and Walk the Moon. Overall, it was a fantastic night and it was echoed in the testimonial from the Bride and Groom:

Reason To Hire Tipperary Wedding DJ – Paudie Walsh
One of the main reasons I play so many weddings in Tipperary is travel. I am lucky to be based in Limerick. This means I can be at nearly any wedding venue in Tipperary in less than an hour. This saves on travel cost (that doesn’t have to get passed to the couple) and it is also peace of mind knowing that there won’t be any problems along the way or trying to find the venue. It also means that more than likely I will have played in your venue before, will know the staff, layout and set up. This makes for a far smoother night and less hassle for both the couple and venue. In my experience, the hotel staff and management like work with someone they have dealt with in the past. Familiarity is great for me and the hotel.
