Winter Creativity Contest - Art Entry

    Participants must be in middle school or high school (grades 6-12) to be eligible to win. This contest is open-ended, which means there are no prompts. Entries can be about any subject and created new for this contest, from school assignments, or from other events. Please choose the format that best represents your entry. Only one entry is permitted per category. Entries found to have been plagiarized will be disqualified, and participants will be barred from future participation.

    2D art: Entries must be created using media that allow it to be displayed hung on a wall. The piece does not have to be gallery ready. Entries should be available to loan to the Alexandria Library from approximately March 2026 to June 2026, though exceptions can be made.

    3D art: Entries may be no larger than approximately 2 ft x 2 ft x 2 ft and should be available to drop off at the Beatley Central Library after submissions close on February 15. Participants will be contacted to set up a time and should NOT drop off artwork until instructed to do so.
  • 2D entries should include one digital image that best captures the artwork. 3D entries should include at least two digital images (up to four) that capture the front and back of the artwork.
  • I have followed the rules and guidelines as outlined; my work is original work. If my entry is selected, I agree that the Alexandria Library and/or designated media outlets may use my work, including reproducing it digitally and/ or in print.
  • Parent/ Guardian Permission

    Please provide contact information for a parent/guardian. The parent/ guardian will be contacted by Alexandria Library staff to confirm participation and contest agreements.
  • Please provide a parent/guardian email. Once form is submitted a confirmation email will be sent to the parent.
  • I have read the rules and guidelines and allow my child to submit an original work to the Alexandria Library. I understand that this work may be reproduced by the Alexandria Library and/ or used in other designated media outlets (using only first name and last initial to identify).
