Seeking Actors & Swings

Mount Hope Estate & Winery is now casting for the upcoming production of Murder at Mount Hope Mansion, an interactive murder-mystery dining experience. We are seeking talented, energetic performers to join our ensemble in a fast-paced, character-driven show filled with comedy, intrigue, and audience engagement.

SCENARIO

Step back to July 4, 1876 and join the centennial celebration at Mount Hope Estate—where the fireworks aren’t the only things about to explode! The night is alive with music, laughter, and our crafted drinks and food… until one guest meets an untimely end. Secrets simmer, tempers flare, and the celebration takes a deadly turn. Can you uncover who turned this patriotic party into a night to die for? 

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

Format: Immersive/interactive murder-mystery theatre
Location: Mount Hope Mansion, Manheim, PA
Rehearsals Begin: January 20, 2026
Opening: February 6, 2026
Run: February 6 – April 26, 2026
Schedule: Afternoon and evening performances
Housing: Available for out-of-town full-time cast
Compensation: Starting at $325/wk for rehearsal, $400/wk for performance run

ROLES AVAILABLE

We are casting a diverse ensemble of performers of all genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Characters range from comedic archetypes to suspicious suspects with rich personalities. Strong improv skills and comfort with direct audience interaction are highly desired.

We are also seeking swings/understudies to cover multiple roles. Swings should be fast learners with strong adaptability and character range.

REQUIREMENTS

Age 18+ (If utilizing company provided housing Age 21+)

Strong comedic timing

Ability to memorize tracks and handle interactive moments

Availability for all rehearsals and performance dates (swings may have some flexibility)
