    I have worked as a transcriptionist, freelance graphic designer, and ESL teacher for the past two years. The experience that I have with these three jobs made me develop a lot of skills. I became a more attentive, creative, and communicative person.

    Being a Transcriptionist, I’ve learned to be comprehensive of the information that I hear and read. This job needs you to be more accurate and precise. This also requires performing multiple tasks at the same time. I have to listen, type and edit at once. This challenged my listening, editing, and typing skills.

    As a freelance Graphic Designer, I need to be creative and think outside the box. I have to know technical skills to be able to put my design idea and concept into life. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are the main software that I use. I also apply Design Principles in every project. This helps create a successful design. Most importantly, I have to be a problem solver. Every project that I encountered is a problem that requires a design solution.

    As for being an ESL teacher, I was able to practice my interpersonal communication skills. I have taught and interacted with students of a different range of ages, personalities, and backgrounds. I have become more adaptive to these diversities to be able to teach well and effectively.

    In summary, all my previous jobs were challenging but the experience that I have acquired through them honed me to progress professionally.
