RISING STARS PIANO™ Student/Parent Application
This application is for the 2026-27 school year.

Infinite Music™ Rising Stars Piano is a music mentorship program granting individual, tuition-free beginning piano or violin lessons to students from households that demonstrate a genuine interest and commitment to learn piano or violin. We break down financial barriers and leverage music lessons as a gateway to empowerment, community and self-esteem.

Learning piano or violin makes your child a better student overall, builds confidence and creativity, and develops patience and discipline. This program is available to students who are enrolled in 2nd through 5th grades.

There is no cost to apply; this program is fully funded by available donations and grants through Infinite Music.

  • RISING STARS PIANO™ PROGRAM GOALS

    • Provide financial support for one-on-one piano lessons between teacher and student.
    • Lessons begin in January 2027 and include 20 weeks of 1x per week, 30-minute piano lessons, ending in May 2027.
    • Develop student's musical proficiency and the associated benefits of music.
    • Foster musical interest and enhance lifelong learning.
    • Participate in a performance opportunity with other Rising Stars™ piano and violin students.

  • WHO CAN APPLY: STUDENT CRITERIA

    • Student must be between 7 and 12 years of age and enrolled in 2nd–5th grades by September 1, 2027.
    • Student must not be currently receiving private music lessons.
    • Student must be a US citizen and San Luis Obispo County resident.
    • Only one application is allowed per household. Incomplete applications will be returned for completion or disqualified.
    • Student must be enrolled by household parent or guardian.

    • Rising Stars Piano™ Application Deadline: October 1, 2027, 12 midnight.
    • Please enter student information in the form fields below. Form fields noted with a red asterisk are required information.
    • Please note that applying is not a guarantee of selection. Applications will be reviewed by the IM Rising Stars Selection Committee; awarded recipients and their parent/guardian will receive notification in early November 2027.

  • *We strive to pair students and teachers in their same area of residence. However, travel within the County may be necessary.
