Thank you for your interest in supporting North Central Ballet’s 31st Annual Production of The Nutcracker. Our volunteers play a vital role in helping us create a magical and professional experience for dancers, families, and audiences alike.
To ensure a smooth and successful production, we ask that all volunteers review the following policy before submitting interest:
Submission of this form does not guarantee placement.
All volunteer roles are filled at the discretion of North Central Ballet staff based on production needs, past experience, and reliability.
Assignments may be changed or revoked at any time if expectations are not met.
Volunteers are expected to communicate respectfully with staff, dancers, and families at all times.
Any behavior deemed disruptive, confrontational, or inappropriate may result in immediate removal from the volunteer roster and future eligibility.
By submitting this form, you agree to abide by the policies and values of North Central Ballet and to communicate with respect and professionalism at all times.
Alcohol Policy for Volunteers
North Central Ballet is committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and family-friendly environment at all events, rehearsals, and performances. To uphold this standard, we have a strict policy regarding alcohol use by volunteers:
• No Alcohol Consumption While On Duty: Volunteers may not consume alcohol before or during their scheduled volunteer shift. This includes all backstage, front-of-house, and event support positions.
• Alcohol Use After Volunteer Shift: If alcohol is being served at an event, volunteers may only partake in alcoholic beverages after their shift has officially ended and they are no longer acting in a volunteer capacity.
• Visible Intoxication: Volunteers exhibiting signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, impaired coordination, or inappropriate behavior, will be immediately relieved of duty and may be prohibited from volunteering at future events.
• Zero Tolerance Around Minors: As many of our volunteers work closely with children and families, we strictly prohibit any alcohol use that compromises safety, professionalism, or perception of responsibility in front of our youth participants and their families.
• Enforcement and Disciplinary Action: Failure to follow this policy may result in removal from the volunteer roster, termination of future volunteer opportunities, or removal from associated performance participation (e.g., a child’s role in a production).
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to maintain a respectful and safe environment for our dancers, families, and guests.
