Cultural Competency Education
The NAFC has partnered with Aetna Foundation and CVS Health on an initiative to provide cultural competence education to Free & Charitable Clinic providers. Providers at NAFC member organizations who are selected to be a part of this program will have free access to online courses.

Providers at NAFC member organizations who are selected to be a part of this program will have access to online courses through Quality Interactions.

Quality Interactions offers a complete suite of online courses to meet the continuing education needs of the healthcare community. Providers will be able to earn printable certificates for continuing education credit from ACCME, ANCC, CCMC, ASWB, and ACPE depending on the course completed. Each course provides 1 Hour of CE.

Courses that will be available to providers will include the following, as well as ones where providers can test their skills:

* ResCUE Modelâ„¢ for Cross-Cultural Clinical Care (CME/CEU/CCM)
* ResCUE Modelâ„¢ for Cross-Cultural Pediatric Care (CME, CEU/CCM)
* Recognizing & Overcoming Unconscious Bias (CME, CEU, CCM)
* Creating a Welcoming Healthcare Environment for LGBTQ Individuals (CME, CEU, CCM)
* Disability Awareness and CUEs for Quality Interactions (CME, CEU, CCM)
* Culturally Competent Care for the Medicare Population (CME, CEU, CCM)
* Working with Specific Populations: Hispanic/Latino (CME, CEU, CCM)
* Cross-Cultural Care in Mental Health and Depression (CME, CEU, CCM, LSW)
* Improving Adherence in Diverse Populations (CME, CEU, CCM, ACPE)
* From Social Determinants to Drivers of Health: Advancing a New Paradigm (CME, CEU)
* High-Quality, Person-Centered Care for Patients with Limited English Proficiency (CME, CEU)

Eligibility:
Providers must be be staff or volunteers at member organizations in good standing with the NAFC. For more information, please email ariana@nafcclinics.org. Approximately 100 providers will be invited to take advantage of this time-limited opportunity.
