Dog Adoption Application Form
Saving Strays Animal Rescue is a local animal charity based in Bolton. We care for and re-home unwanted cats, dogs, horses, rabbits and would never allow a healthy animal to be put down.

Many of our animals have not had the best start in life and are in need of support from their new families. To ensure they get this it is our policy to carry out home checks on all potential new homes prior to adoption. In this way we hope to provide the most suitable homes for our animals and give them the best possible chance of finding their new forever families.

Saving Strays Animal Rescue is staffed by a small team of volunteers, without whom we could not operate. If you would like to get involved with Saving Strays Animal Rescue and our work, why not make a donation, volunteer or foster. Any help you can offer will always be greatly appreciated by all of us here at Saving Strays Animal Rescue and of course by all of the animals in our care!

PLEASE BE AWARE OF OUR FOLLOWING POLICIES:

* CHILD POLICY
We do NOT home our dogs or puppies to families where there are children under 5 years of age UNLESS there is an existing dog in the home; these applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Additionally, for homes with children under 10 years of age, the parents MUST have experience of owning a dog as an adult. Again, these applicants will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, based on the dog and family circumstances.
All individuals adopting or fostering need to be over the age of 18.

* RENTED ACCOMMODATION
To avoid disappointment, if you live in privately rented accommodation, you will need to provide written proof of authorisation before your application can be considered.
Council rented: as per pre-tenancy agreement.

* HOME CHECK
A home check is always carried out prior to our dogs being adopted, usually by someone who lives close to you and is already involved in animal rescue. This ensures the garden is secure and the right dog/puppy is matched to the right family. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE A SECURE GARDEN WITH AT LEAST 6FT FENCING (some exceptions apply with a very small or older dog.)

The adoption fee is £300 per dog, £350 per puppy.

The following are included in the adoption fee:
- 1st and 2nd vaccinations
- Microchipping to the new owner
- Neutering
- Flea treatment for 1 month and worm treatment for 3 months
- Free pet insurance for 5 weeks
