Joker123 Experiment Movie Review

The Joker123 Experiment is a short film from Hollywood filmmaker Kevin Smith. In this film, the Joker becomes convinced that Smith is also being controlled by the same "babylonians" and he attempts to steal his body for his own nefarious ends. This is a film that will have many people thinking about their own body and in particular, the idea of invasive technology invading our bodies.

Kevin Smith was an old friend of mine who used to invite me over to his house in Long Beach when I was still just a teenager. Whenever he would send me to his place, I would inevitably bring a gift with me and that was a copy of Jay and Silent Bob: Mostly Ghostly and Mondo Cane. As a matter of fact, after Jay and Silent Bob: The Video Game was released, I remember buying a copy of the movie from a video store and watching it in the theater. I've always loved the Batman series and I've been known to sometimes quote some of the Batman comic books.

When I first saw The joker123 Experiment, I was immediately struck by the resemblance of The Joker to some of the most famous comic book villains including Bane, The Penguin, The Riddler, etc. But then again, as I said earlier, the movie had that one bright spot - The Joker. The script was actually pretty good and there were not that many scenes that I did not find entertaining. In fact, there were even some great voice acting performances from the Joker. The only bad thing about the movie is that it was rather short.

Joker123 Experiment Movie Review

But then again, at least the script of the Joker123 Experiment was quite funny and it helped make the movie quite amusing. There were moments when I was laughing out loud and there were several times when I felt very, very annoyed because of how dirty the whole movie was.

Some of the other sequences in the entire movie were especially disturbing and frankly, I thought they were quite poor. One scene in particular involved The Joker masturbating into a pool of water and of course, we all know what happens to those that do so. There were also scenes involving The Joker spraying women with what seemed to be his own bodily fluids. While some of the women in the movie did look quite appealing, there were some that didn't and these were my least favorite parts of the entire movie.

It was also nice to see that Kevin Smith, the director of The Last Temptation of Christ and Mallrats, was able to produce a movie that featured the Joker for some good laughs. And, I must say, I was not disappointed in any way, shape or form by the finished product, especially considering that it was only around twenty minutes long.

During the climax of the movie, I could almost hear Kim Danson and Michelle Pfeiffer's voices and it was quite a delight to watch the two of them tear each other apart. Also, I must say that the movie was more action packed than the previous Smith movie Mallrats.

Overall, The Joker123 Experiment is a fun and entertaining movie. If you love comic books and watching comic book characters suffer, then I would highly recommend checking this one out. This may very well be the second "Bane" film after The Dark Knight Rises.
